Our Adventure Begins
At 9:00 AM, we set off on an exciting journey to explore all the trails at Lake Tawakoni State Park. With nearly five miles of multi-use trails, this hike promises a blend of scenic beauty, diverse flora, and opportunities for wildlife viewing.
Trail Route

Farkleberry Trail: Our hike begins on the Farkleberry Trail, a gentle introduction to the park’s landscape. This trail offers a serene start with its easy terrain and picturesque views.

Osage Orange Trail: Next, we transition to the Osage Orange Trail. This path takes us deeper into the park’s hardwood forest, providing a more immersive nature experience.

Blackjack Trail: From the Osage Orange Trail, we move onto the Blackjack Trail. This trail presents a bit more challenge with some elevation changes, making it a favorite for those who enjoy a bit of a workout.

Red Oak Loop: Finally, we loop back using the Red Oak Trail. This trail brings us full circle, leading us back towards our starting point and completing our hike.
