About Me

Two years ago, I embarked on a new chapter of my life by moving to Dallas. This journey began with a job transfer opportunity that I had been eyeing for a couple of years. The anticipation and excitement of a fresh start in a vibrant city filled my heart as I packed my belongings and said goodbye to my old home.

Upon arriving in Dallas, I was greeted by the city's bustling energy and warm hospitality. The skyline, with its towering buildings and shimmering lights, became a familiar sight as I settled into my new routine. My new job brought challenges and opportunities, pushing me to grow both professionally and personally.

As I navigated through the city's diverse neighborhoods, I discovered hidden gems – cozy restaurants, lively music venues, and serene parks. Each weekend became an adventure, exploring the rich culture and history that Dallas had to offer.

In Dallas, I also discovered new hobbies that enriched my life. Bird photography became a passion, allowing me to capture the beauty of nature in stunning detail. Hiking in State Parks and various trails introduced me to the breathtaking landscapes of Texas. I also started playing pickleball, which quickly became an addictive pastime and helped me become part of a vibrant community. Additionally, I took up kickboxing, which is not only keeping me fit but also instilled a sense of discipline and strength.

However, adjusting to life in Dallas wasn't without its challenges. The weather, for one, was a shock. Summers here can be hot as hell, making it difficult to enjoy outdoor activities during the peak heat. The food scene, dominated by Tex-Mex, was another adjustment. Coming from Mexico, where the cuisine is rich and diverse, I found the Tex-Mex flavors to be a bit underwhelming. And then there was the challenge of building connections. Making new friends and establishing meaningful relationships took time and effort, as people here seemed more reserved compared to what I was used to. Living away from friends and family added another layer of difficulty, as I missed the comfort and support of my loved ones back home.

Despite these hurdles, the move to Dallas has been a transformative experience that opened doors to new possibilities and a brighter future. My journey continues, with each day bringing new experiences and stories to tell.
